In case that wasn't a dead give away, the Tok Volleyball Round Robin is going on....like right now. So for starters, get off that laptop and get out there!!!! (..oops).
Seriously though, go at least for a few games and support our ladies before the massive regionals tourney next weekend, along with the Winter Formal dance sponsored by the sophomores. Be there or be square.
Apart from the Round Robin right now, Jr. High is away this weekend for their last games of the season and also their regionals. So make sure to send them luck and all that jazz, long distance (yes, this means facebook).
So, a very big weekend in sports but also a very big month in general. November is national Native Pride month, the bulletin board in the multi-pupose room is coming soon, Domestic Abuse awareness month, as well as our annual Canned Food Drive. Be proud, be nice, and eat something.
To be honest, that's a weird mix of stuff going on, but yet it should hit home for those of us trying to encourage school spirit because really, those three things are what school spirit comes down to: Be PROUD of who you are, and what you are for that matter, embrace your inner wolverine. Unleash the beast.
RESPECT those who you want to respect you. If there is anything every single student can agree on at Tok, is that bullying is a huge issue. Now, if we all know that, and none of us like it, then why is it still happening?
Don't be afraid to CARE about something. I'm not sure if any of you have taken a look at the "Fed Up With Hunger" board outside of Ms. B's but it's a pretty sobering idea. There are people right here who have virtually nothing. Personally, it reminds mehow much I have, and how much I can help. What goes around comes around, and no act of kindness goes unrewarded.
*Cue inspirational music*
*And fade out*
Anyway, also just to give you a visual of what we're working toward, here is a Turkey costume I found online.

Imagine that as one of our teachers, busting a move to the Cha-Cha Slide.
Oh please bring in cans. Please.
